Large scale rotating bed reactors: Proven industrial deployments

Deployment of Rotating Bed Reactors at Industrial Scale Person in PPE inspecting a rotating bed reactor.

Date: February 26, 2025

Time: 13:30 CET

           6 pm IST

           07:30 am EST

During this webinar we will cover how rotating bed reactor (RBR) technology can be deployed at very large scales. We will present real-world industrial implementations and demonstrate methods for treating contaminated liquids at massive scale.

Get insights into how the RBR technology delivers consistent performance across both small and large scales, and learn how bench-top tests can accurately predict full-scale deployment outcomes.

Key insights:

  • Large-scale RBR technology deployment for industrial applications
  • Methods for treating contaminated liquids at massive scale
  • Insights into how benchtop test results can predict full-scale performance
Dr. Emil Byström Ceo of SpinChem

Speaker: Dr. Emil Byström, CEO SpinChem

Dr. Emil Byström is an expert in reactor technology development, with extensive experience spanning both academic research and industrial applications in biocatalysis. His work at SpinChem has been pivotal in developing and implementing rotating bed reactor technology for various biocatalytic processes. These include catalyzing reactions in the pharmaceutical industry and removing contaminants—such as pesticides or PFAS/PFOS substances—from industrial waste streams. His contributions have significantly enhanced efficiency and sustainability in chemical manufacturing.

Speaker: Erik Löfgren, CTO SpinChem

Erik Löfgren is the Chief Technology Officer of SpinChem. With a background in Engineering physics from Umeå University, he has been instrumental in advancing the rotating bed reactor technology from concept to commercial success. His hands-on experience includes implementing RBR solutions across diverse industries, from pharmaceutical manufacturing to environmental remediation.
