Large-Scale Rotating Bed Reactors: Proven Industrial Deployments

This webinar covers scale-up principles, deployment methods, and applications of SpinChem® rotating bed reactors for biocatalysis and waste remediation at industrial scale.

What You'll Learn in This Webinar

  • Scale-up principles: Linear scale-up from lab to production, conserving power input per volume (watts/volume)
  • Deployment methods: Direct install, plug-in, ProRBR IBC add-on, and the "vacuum cleaner effect" for particle entrainment
  • Solid phase replacement strategies: Full RBR extraction (hydraulic lift), prefilled bags for easy operator handling, and CIP-like discharge
  • CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics): Used to validate designs, predict performance, and down-select alternatives before deployment
  • Nuclear waste remediation case: 95,000 L tank with Cobalt-60 and Cesium-137, reduced to 56 L of solid waste
